In addition to designing fun thematic maps for the Boston Cyclists Union, I also put together a few reference maps – mostly identifying locations for specific events. Actually, these were more challenging than the thematic maps, as I had less creative liberty, and had to adhere to specific (and somewhat restrictive) style guidelines regarding colors and type treatment. For the events map, I also had to crowd a great deal of information into a relatively compact space.
